The service provides help from experts in several areas, including digital education, educational development, and the Canvas VLE, all of whom are available to help departments, faculties and colleges with queries related to the delivery of in-person, online and hybrid teaching. The helpdesk is available Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm, and can be contacted by emailing the helpdesk service. The Centre for Teaching and Learning provides a dedicated service desk to support staff. Who is my Local Canvas Coordinator (LCC)? (SSO required). They will also represent their department or faculty at User Group and similar meetings. They are your first point of contact if you need local Canvas support, since they should be aware of how Canvas is structured, managed and used in your unit. Local Canvas CoordinatorsĪ network of Local Canvas Coordinators is available within departments and faculties. Links to further information about Canvas functionality and support options are provided in the 'Help' section on the global navigation menu. Once logged in, you can self-enrol in the guide so that it will appear on your Canvas dashboard for ease of access.

CANVAS DASHBOARD UPDATE
The Canvas Administrator will update all parties in the event that there is a change to the update schedule. Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:00 PMĭue to the complexity of the Banner/Canvas integration, the update cycle is subject to change. When the student is officially enrolled and in the course is when the enrollment will be pushed over into Cavnas. Students on wait-lists are not officially "enrolled" in the course yet and therefore will not have access in Canvas. Students will have to wait for one of the updates to run before their enrollment information to populate into Canvas. Our Banner (SIS) student information system -updates all enrollment activity -adds/drops/etc. Just enrolled and don't see your course(s) in Canvas?ĬOS enrollments do not instantly appear in Canvas when you've enrolled in a course. Please visit G iant-Email and Login Assistance for more assistance. MyGIANT Portal is where you'll find links to the apps and services you need -and that includes CANVAS! Once logged into the myGiant Portal you will see links to access many apps and services such as Canvas, Microsoft Office 365 Office application suite, OneDrive, Banner self-service, NetTutor, LRC Reservations, etc. Your COS provided email address will be used as your "username" to authenticate to the myGiant Portal.
